In addition to the amazing LEGO models created by builders all over the world, The Brothers Brick brings you the best of LEGO news and reviews. This is our weekly Brick Report for the first week of July 2018.

TBB NEWS & REVIEWS: This week we rounded out our review coverage of the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom sets now that the movie is out, and took to the airwaves with a bit of brick.

TBB’s Iain Heath featured on Seattle NBC station – Our Builder in Residence Iain Heath showed Seattle what LEGO is all about, from hilarious recreations of memes like Grumpy Cat to more serious artistic works like his Homeless in Seattle faux Architecture set. Review of LEGO Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom 75931 Dilophosaurus Outpost Attack – When the Dilophosaurus brings down the gate, you never know what might happen. We take a look at this set with a super cool and surprisingly accurate dino. Review of LEGO Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom 75927 Stygimoloch Breakout – One of the few LEGO sets to feature a herbivorous dinosaur, we’re diving deep into this mini enclosure to see what it’s all about.

Review of LEGO Harry Potter BrickHeadz: 41615 Harry Potter & Hedwig – It’s our first hands-on look at the new Harry Potter brick-built figures, and we can’t help but think Hedwig is super cute.

TBB LEGO SET NEWS: June has been a busy month for LEGO set announcements, and this last week most of all. Take scores of magicians and a giant robot, add in a handful of superheroes, and the rest of the year is shaping up to be quite eventful.

41626 Groot and Rocket BrickHeadz from Avengers: Infinity War revealed – With the addition of these two, we’re only missing Drax from the original Guardians of the Galaxy lineup in BrickHeadz form. DC Super Heroes 76117 Batman Mech vs. Poison Ivy Mech revealed – Batman has really suited up in this new set which has him and the Flash facing off against Poison Ivy and Firefly. Wizarding World of Harry Potter collectible minifigures series revealed – Featuring 22 highly detailed minifigures from both Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts, this new series is sure to be a hot item for fans. LEGO Ideas 21311 Voltron: Defender of the Universe set revealed – LEGO’s biggest Ideas set to date is the new ultra robot Voltron, who wields a sword and shield and can actually split into the five lions.

LEGO hints that something James Bond in the works, LEGO Instagram – For a few weeks now, LEGO has been hinting that something is coming that might feature that famous British special agent. The latest few posts suggest it may be one of Bond’s iconic cars. Volvo and LEGO team up for the Volvo Zeux, Volvoce.com – Volvo explains how they worked with LEGO to imagine the future of autonomous construction vehicles, resulting in the Volvo Zeux, which we announced in May. LEGO announces end of Rebrick site, LEGO Ideas blog – LEGO is shuttering the MOC-sharing turned contest site Rebrick, and folding it into the existing LEGO Ideas platform. LEGO Ideas will now host contests similar to those that Rebrick offered. Researchers use LEGO to help iPhone detect nerve agents, UTexas.edu – A team of scientists at the University of Texas at Austin has designed a method for using an iPhone’s camera paired with chemical sensors and a LEGO-built enclosure to detect deadly nerve agents like VX and sarin.
