LEGO Batman Construction Figure and the Bat-Pod Bike (76273) Review

LEGO hasn’t released a larger scale Bat-Pod set in a long time but this summer, there is a new one in the Batman Construction Figure and the Bat-Pod Bike (76273). The original one was back in 2015 when there was a competition for LEGO VIP members and subsequently was in the Rewards Center for 15,000 points and a sweepstakes after that. This new 713 piece set is much easier to get for $64.99.

Build

The Batman figure is the larger scale ones that were re-introduced a few years ago, however, this one is based on the suit from The Dark Knight. The build is fairly similar to its predecessor, give or take a few changes here and there.

You do start with the torso which has ball joints for the arms and the head. The armor on the shoulders are on hinges and they attach to the top of the shoulder.

The arms are build similiarly and they have hinges on the elbows and a ball joint for the wrists. The hands have clips for Batman to hold on to the Bat-Pod handles. Like with previous Construction Figures, the hands only have four fingers.

There is some waist swivel right above the utility belt. The legs, knees, and ankles are all on ball joints so there’s a wide variety of movement below the waist although the knees are somewhat limited.
