LEGO Fan Media Days is currently going on right now in Billund and one piece of news that has come out of it is that LEGO Ideas will be bumping up the parts count for fans to create larger projects. According to Brickset, the maximum parts count will be upped to 5,000 pieces which allows fans to make larger and more detailed projects but will also potentially make them more expensive. There’s no word yet on when it will be implemented. The current parts count, while still a lot, is at 3,000 although LEGO has made exceptions on a few sets that have went over that limit.
