It’s December 16th already? Just one more shopping week till Christmas. Not that I need to worry about that – I have dozens of LEGO builds from the advent calendars to regift! It’s a solid plan, right? I can figure out who gets what later. First, we have six LEGO advent calendars to open: Friends, Disney, City, Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Spider-Man!
As ever, our intrepid TBB team is on hand with witty comments, insightful observations, and bad jokes for each day’s builds. And of course, you can add your own thoughts in the comments section each day! So without further ado, let’s crack open the build for day 16…
Today’s Friends build is a toy train on roller skate wheels. From Disney, a fitting perch for yesterday’s Frog Princess, Tiana.
Harry Potter scares up a singing ghost! I don’t know that she has a name but her unique print is amazing. And from city, a snowmobile and helmet.
Star Wars follows in Harry’s footsteps with a Ghost of its own! While Spider-man gets… a 486 PC running Windows 95? Is it a throne for J. Jebeneezer Jameson? time will tell. Nice printed tile tough.
City and Harry Potter both impressed me today with an incredible exclusive minifig and a great buildable vehicle. What do the others think?
Theo: They have smartphones in the Spiderverse but are still using PCs from the 90s, it would seem…
Daniel: The Ghost is okay but I’ve seen better. It always bugs me to see chairs sitting on the floor.
Kyle: It’s the train for me. Some great options to choose from this time (not you, Ghost), but that train is just tops!
Bre: Ooooh! LOVE the train and the HP singing ghost. Those are my favorites of all the days so far. On the other hand, the SW Ghost is just plain bad.
One ghost rides victorious. The other has been exorcised to the Outer Rim.
Lost Lenore moans and the raven croaks atop the bust of Pallas while young Edgar pores over forgotten lore. Nevermore? (Maybe I should have saved this joke for Wednesday…)
