LEGO has recently released a random Yellow Travel Suitcase (40817) set. It has 184 pieces and retails for $14.99.

The build is actually smaller than your average LEGO City car and it is about two minifigures tall. The front of the suitcase is pretty bland except for the LEGO logo in the middle. Here you can use the extra stickers to decorate the 2×4 tiles.

The side handle has a stickered luggage tage for the Billund Airport.

On the backside of the suitcase, there’s a handle that can pull up but can’t be held up. There are some wheels that allow you to roll it around.

When you open up the suitcase, there’s a number of brick-built items that can fit inside including a sandwich, camera, toothbrush, and printed tiles of a ticket and passport.

If you’re wondering if the suitcase is scale to the up-scaled minifigures, you can say they are although they won’t be able to hold the handle. If you’re comparing suitcases, it’s probably a small to medium sized one.

The LEGO Yellow Travel Suitcase (40817) is a random little item that really has no relation to any other set unless you count the postcards that LEGO has previously released. For how little it is, it is well done with many details that a suitcase may have. Kids may have fun with it if they’re going on a trip and they have their own little one.
