Amidst the summer heat, Josephine Monterosso’s brick-built grapes look quite refreshing, not to mention realistic. They look like they were just picked off the vine, right down to the green leaf hanging off the end of the stem (the leaf appears to be a green minifig cape). The grapes themselves are purple Technic ball joints, a part which has been around since 2001 but never appeared in dark purple until this year (you can find it in sets 76103 & 41342). A good part can be made even better with the proper technique, and I especially love how Josephine used plant pieces to create a very organic looking bunch of grapes. Bon appétit! Back in 2016, Koen treated us to his magical take on Disney’s iconic Mouse. Two years later, in a response to LEGO’s own BrickHeadz versions, he’s redesigned his model of Mickey as well as adding Minnie to the mix. It just goes to show how much a year or two means in terms of the evolution of LEGO elements; Koen improving on the rounded shaping of the characters’ heads with new curved tiles as well as using the printed eyelash piece for Minnie’s eyes. The design of Minnie’s bow, with its single stud polka dots, and her brick-built shoes, demonstrate some seriously clever building too. The result: a brilliantly realised recreation of our favourite cartoon couple. The post Now we got ears it’s time for cheers appeared first on The Brothers Brick. Fancy a stroll? The Victorian times must have been exceptionally interesting time to be alive. New inventions constantly, fascinating fashion, and style everywhere you look. Of course there was also class warfare (and just plain warfare for that matter) and cholera so it wasn't exactly utopia. But there certainly were some awesome buildings built weren't there? Like those depicted in this excellent street scene by looooookl. Original linkOriginal author: Tommy
This is one of those MOCs you might just scroll past if you weren't paying very close attention. what really sells it is the "scraps" and the scissors (which are also brick built). A very clever intersection of crafts and poultry from builder EugeneTTs. Original linkOriginal author: Tommy
If a hotel is in crumbling, grimy ruins, does it have no vacancies or is every room a vacancy? I don't know, but it's not everyday I get to use "grimy" as a compliment, and Legofin's Cyberpunk slum is gorgeously grimy. Original linkOriginal author: Kodiak Sanders
