A particular LEGO set takes lots of time and planning to get from the development stage to store shelves. During Star Wars Celebration 2017, LEGO Star Wars Senior Art Director and Brand Manager Rob Johnson did a panel to discuss the development process of how a LEGO Star Wars set was created which normally the public doesn’t get to see. Just following the release of the wonderful Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Tyler Clites has posted a great model of the Milano. I'm still fond of the set released along the original film, but this one is undoubtedly more well-fit to minifigure scale, and it's got some lovely shaping on the edges. Andreas Lenander made this lovely little piece of art, depicting something that should only happen in a nightmare...your LEGO melting.
