A while back, LEGO launched the LEGO Insiders Community which served sort of a forum/news area for AFOLs by AFOLs. LEGO today has announced that it will be shutting down June 26 and the content will be integrated into LEGO Ideas. I don’t think many people used the LEGO Insiders Community platform since it was newly launched and I didn’t really see LEGO advertising it too much. LEGO on their social media accounts looks to be teasing another LEGO Transformers announcement. The short clip shows Optimus Prime (10302) which his famous phrase “Calling All Autobots” and fades to black with the words “Who will answer the call.” It looks like we’ll be getting another Autobot set and rumor has it that it could be his Second-in-Command, Bumblebee. I will admit it… when I was encouraged to join a LEGO minifigure habitat challenge early in my MOC-building journey as BrickBuiltJosh, I was not so sure about these small 8x8 square corner builds. They seemed small, constrictive, boxy, and like… everything had to be some corner of a room! Since then, I’ve built 35 habitats over the last few years, joined several habitat challenges, and found inspiration to break the mold and find new ways to get creative with the format.
