2024 is the year of LEGO Space sets and today LEGO has revealed two new ones with the LEGO Icons NASA Artemis Space Launch System (10341) and the LEGO Art The Milky Way (31212). Both releasing on May 15 for Insiders, the Artemis has 3,601 pieces and retails for $259.99 while the Milky Way has 3,091 pieces and retails for $199.99. Bendigo Bricks is an annual event held in the regional city of Bendigo, Australia. Bendigo is the third largest city in the state of Victoria. It has a thriving and active local LUG, Bendigo LEGO User Group, with around 45 people attending their monthly meetings. This year over 130 exhibitors displayed at the event with a number traveling from interstate to attend. I chatted to some of the interstate AFOL exhibitors about the reasons why they attend, and the logistics in travelling with a MOC. The LEGO Art Gotham City (76271) is the first Batman: The Animated Series set and it features a skyline of the city. It consists of 4,210 pieces and retails for $299.99. Minifigures Batman has variant with this TAS version which is mostly gray with black dual-molded boots. The paper cape is two-colored, black on the outside and dark blue on the inside. He has a double-sided head with a stern look on one side and an angry look on the other. The cowl is a new piece with an additional piece of plastic on the inside for the white eyes. I’m not sure if there’s something wrong with mine or if like that for every one but the cowl doesn’t fully cover the regular eyes and you can see them underneath.
