On my next review of the 2021 wave of LEGO Monkie Kid sets, I have the Spider Queen’s Arachnoid Base (80022). The set has 1,170 pieces and will retail for $119.99. Minifigures There are six minifigures in this set, Monkie Kid, Monkey King, Pigsy, Spider Queen, Syntax, and Jia. Like with some of the other MK sets, Monkie Kid is wearing the newer jacket with the Monkey King face on the front and the word sky on the back. His double-sided head shows him with a scared look on one side and a determined look on the other. Note that his eyes on the determined side are blank like he is changing to the Monkey King. The LEGO Marvel Carnage Helmet (76199) has now been listed on the LEGO Shop which means that there will be a wider release for the set. Yesterday we posted that Target will be taking pre-orders for the set today as their “exclusive” but for those who don’t want to do that, there’s another option. The set has 546 pieces and will retail for $59.99 just like the other “helmet” sets in the line. LEGO has also posted a release date of April 11 for the set. For those who have the Target app, they have been sending out a push notification for the exclusive LEGO Marvel Carnage Helmet (76199). There have been reports in the Reddit thread that multiple people have gotten the alert. There’s no release date announced but pre-orders for it will go up starting tomorrow 3/11 at 8am CST. A few hours ago, LEGO published their annual results from 2020 and it was concluded that they had very strong growth last year. Starting on March 15, LEGO will have a new promotion on the LEGO Shop with the LEGO Seasonal Easter Bunny’s Carrot House (40449). You will be able to get the set for free with purchases of $60 or more until April 5, while supplies. Before we get to the Carrot House, we have the Easter Bunny that is a very compact build. The face and ears are oversized compared to the rest of the body but it is very cute. The initial look of the Carrot House is that it is halfway pulled up from the soil. The front door has a little bunny sticker at the bottom of the cool yellow door. Around the grass on the outside of the house, we have a red mailbox and on the opposite side are some eggs. A month ago, LEGO announced a new Build your own game contest in partnership with Unity on LEGO Ideas where you create a game and as compensation, you would receive a limited edition LEGO Unity minifigure just by participating.
