The LEGO Nintendo Entertainment System (71374) is one of the most popular sets that LEGO has released and earlier today, the designer video for the set went live on YouTube. LEGO designers Pablo Gonzalez, Leon Pijnenburg, and Daire McCabe talks about some of the details in the set. I do like that the set is almost 1:1 scale with the real console. Graphic designer Anthony Palamaro talks about some of the decorative pieces within the set. He notes the Mario figure pixel per pixel perfect to the on screen representation and was the first element to be designed graphic first. Benjamin Ma talks about his involvement in the set by integrating the Mario figure from the Starter Course (71360) to the TV. Although they haven’t been officially announced yet, the Series 2 LEGO Harry Potter Collectible Minifigures (71028) have been spotted at Target. They are not street dated and if you’re looking for them, your store may have them out a little early along with a lot of the other September 1 LEGO set releases. An Italian online shop has revealed two new LEGO Disney Princess sets that fans may be interested in. These two sets include Rapunzel’s Tower (43187) and Aurora’s Forest Cottage (43188). Rapunzel’s Tower has 369 pieces while Aurora’s Forest Cottage has 300 pieces. LEGO Ideas has launched a new fan vote for an upcoming book that is geared towards AFOLs. In collaboration with Adult Fans of LEGO, the book will be celebrating the history of the LEGO brick. There are three different books that you can vote for, each with their own style and they are called: • The LEGO Brick Museum• The Secret Life of LEGO Bricks• LEGO History in 100 Bricks Fans will be able to vote starting today and it will run until August 9. For the chosen title, you can get it through crowdfunding and fans who pre-order it will get their names printed in the back of the book. For this weekend, LEGO is now offering the 2019 LEGO Seasonal Mini Gingerbread House (40337) on Shop@Home with purchases of $100 or more, while supplies last. This promotion will run until 11:50pm EST, 7/26. This set was previously used for the Christmas holiday promotion last year. The LEGO Crocodile Locomotive (10277) has been out for a few days now and LEGO has since released the designer video for the set. LEGO designer Pierre Normandin talks about some of the details of the train which is based on the Swiss Federal Railways train. Currently the Crocodile Locomotive is temporarily out of stock and we’re not sure when it will be coming back due to the factory that supplies to North America is still shut down.
