I have written before about LEGO model ships. Many of those were fairly small but there were some mantelpiece-worthy models, starting with 398 USS Constellation in 1977. Many years later were two Maersk container ships (10152/10155 and 10241), one of which (the Triple-E) had a proper model ship stand. Then we had 21313 Ship in a Bottle for really small mantelpieces and 10294 Titanic for really big ones. Now, three years after the Titanic set, LEGO is releasing the 10335 Endurance, a model of a ship that was built three years after Titanic and sank three years after Titanic. LEGO has just announced your newest LEGO Ideas set from the First 2024 Review Stage. There were 48 total submissions and the winning design is the Minerals Display by ddf72. Congratulations to the winner but obviously it’s pretty disappointing that only one project out of 48 was chosen. LEGO has officially announced the upcoming LEGO Horizon Adventures Aloy & Varl vs. Shell-Walker & Sawtooth (77037). Releasing on March 1, 2025, the set has 768 pieces and will retail for a very reasonable $44.99, however, you can pre-order the set starting today on the LEGO Shop. The LEGO Shop has quietly rolled out a huge quality of life feature for using your Insiders points for discounts. When you’re checking out the cart, there’s a new option to use custom discounts on your orders. Before this change, you had to redeem your discounts in the Rewards Center then use the provided code to get the discount but you can now just directly use it in the shopping cart. It also tells you how many points you have and the value of your points in dollars. The minimum discount is $5 which uses 650 Insiders points and each additional dollar discount is 130 points.
