LEGO Monkie Kid Spider Queen’s Arachnoid Base (80022) Review
On my next review of the 2021 wave of LEGO Monkie Kid sets, I have the Spider Queen’s Arachnoid Base (80022). The set has 1,170 pieces and will retail for $119.99.
Minifigures
There are six minifigures in this set, Monkie Kid, Monkey King, Pigsy, Spider Queen, Syntax, and Jia. Like with some of the other MK sets, Monkie Kid is wearing the newer jacket with the Monkey King face on the front and the word sky on the back. His double-sided head shows him with a scared look on one side and a determined look on the other. Note that his eyes on the determined side are blank like he is changing to the Monkey King. His accessory is the Golden Staff.
The Monkey King wears a yellow robe with a teal scarf and a strap going across the chest. The legs are dual molded with his black shoes. He also has a new rubber tail piece that is able to hold the staff as well. He has a double-sided head with a smile on one side and an angry look on the other. His accessory is a pair of handcuffs.
Pigsy seems to be strapped in for battle as he is wearing a vest filled with some sausage bombs and chopsticks. His head and chef’s hat is the same as before. His accessory is his rake.
