LEGO CON 2021 Post-Event Press Release
LEGO has just released a press release regarding LEGO CON 2021 and its “great success” for the event. I wouldn’t say it was great but it was entertaining here and there. I did like the interviews with the various LEGO designers as well as NASA astronaut Mike Massimino. The interactivity with viewers was also decent especially with the LEGO DOTS mosaic.
There were also some things that I didn’t really like about it. The main thing was the connection issues with the stream. I was watching/listening to it at work and suddenly there was silence. I thought my network went down but it was the actual stream that crashed and gave an error. I saw that others also had the same issue and I think it happened a few times.

The other annnoucement was for the Summer 2021 Mandalorian sets. One disappointment was that many fans were expecting the reveal of the UCS Republic Gunship which didn’t happen at all. The other “reveals” like the new LEGO Super Mario range and LEGO VIDIYO Boombox were already known about so they weren’t really reveals.
Overall, the event was a decent event that could be improved on if LEGO decides to make it an annual event.… Continue
