LEGO Dungeons & Dragons Mimic Dice Box (5008325/6510865) GWP Review

The LEGO Ideas Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale (21348) was announced a few days ago and it was confirmed that if you purchase the set from April 1-7, you can get the 168 piece limited edition Mimic Dice Box (5008325/6510865) as a gift with purchase set.

The set comes in the yellow box packaging which may suggest that it’ll be a fairly limited release, especially for you online shoppers. I wouldn’t be too surprised if it sells out within the first few days of going live.

Inside the box, you get the instruction booklet sleeved up front with a ziplock bag of the parts behind.

The finished build was simple and pretty quick with the Mimic measuring 10 studs wide by 6 studs deep. The mouth is connnected on a hinge on the back and it has four printed eyes. There’s enough room inside the box to fit in a couple of D20s inside (not included).

Another feature of the set is the blue tongue that is on clips and can be sticking out or folded inside the box.

Although you get a smaller version of the Mimic Dice Box with the LEGO Ideas Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale (21348), this larger gift with purchase version is actually a function one that you can use to store your dice.
