The production design for the Harry Potter films has always been pretty amazing, especially starting with the third movie Prisoner of Azkaban. You’ll see plenty of unconventional structures in that universe, and this is a great example, the Shrieking Shack. I won’t go into details of the story (no spoilers here) but you don’t need them to appreciate how wonky and kattywompus this thing is architecturally, and that kattywompusness is captured perfectly in this version by builder Xenomurphy. LEGO has announced the return of the Build to Give campaign where the company donates one LEGO set per each holiday ornament built at an in-store display or posted online and tagged with #BuildToGive. Last year, LEGO donated 500,000 sets to children in hospitals, foster and child-care homes, and under-served communities as a result of the campaign. This year, LEGO wants to double those numbers and will donate up to one million LEGO sets to children in need. The campaign runs from November 4 to December 8, including various in-store events and building challenges. The donated sets will be distributed by LEGO’s charity partners listed at LEGO.com/BuildToGive. The full press release, video and expanded photo gallery from LEGO are included below. The Huascar by Aldrin is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The 2,990 piece ship is based on the real life one that was built in 1865 and was on Peru’s Navy. It served on a few missions including the War of the Pacific and the Battle of Angamos. The project now joins Queen: I Want to Break Free, Seinfeld 30th Anniversary, The Legend of Zelda: BotW Stables, Planet Express Delivery Ship, Ratatouille: Open The Doors!, LEGO Typewriter, and The Legend of the BIONICLE as the projects to reach the Third 2019 Review Stage. If you saw our review of the LEGO Marvel Hulkbuster: Ultron Edition set last year, you might recall there was some disappointment with the figure’s appearance. John Car has come smashing though with a more faithful looking rendition of the Hulkbuster. While it uses some of the parts and stickers from the original set, the proportions feel bigger, beefier and Hulkier. The attention to detail extends to the back of the Hulkbuster armor. And the chest folds open to seat Iron Man! The post We have a Hulkbuster! appeared first on The Brothers Brick. Original linkOriginal author: Matt Hocker
