I’m still mentally sorting through Rise of Skywalker, I enjoyed it, but it’s a lot to unpack (and I mean a lot). In the mean time I sit on the solid foundation of my fandom, thanks to being the perfect age to have experienced this little movie, Star Wars (maybe you’ve heard of it?) Builder NS Brick Designs has crafted one of the classic posters to my favorite movie of all time, and this edit incorporating aspects of the poster makes it pretty much perfect. Releasing in a few short weeks is one of the new 2020 LEGO BrickHeadz sets with the Wedding Bride (40383). It has 306 pieces and retails for $12.99. The contents of the box include four unnumbered bags and the instructions. The build of the Bride is very straightforward going bottom up like with other BrickHeadz. What’s neat about this set is that LEGO gives you enough parts to customize the Bride into various skin colors similar to the retired Go Brick Me (41597) set. Although the set is small, there are quite a few details with it. First is the printed 1×4 brick with the wedding dress printing. She also has a bouquet of flowers that is also able to switch out colors. The other hand is able to hold a gold ring. There’s also a white veil that goes from the top of the head and goes down the back....

If you didn’t see the January 2020 LEGO Store Calendar, we will be getting another Chinese New Year set with the LEGO Seasonal Year of the Rat (40355). You will be able to get it from January 13-26 with purchases of $80 or more which is a little bit lower than previous years’ threshold of $88. Technically, this will be the seventh zodiac animal that has been released by LEGO but only the fourth that has been widely available on Shop@Home. The Snake, Sheep, and Monkey were previously Asia exclusives so hopefully LEGO will remake them for the mass market. Here’s a little secret: I don’t work out. Yes, yes, I know this formidable frame seems legitimately cut but I assure you, I’m quite doughy. Unlike this hard body by builder vitreolum, who clearly can do reps, whatever those are. The subtle details and clever building on this character are pretty amazing, look at the neck, where two simple angled 1x2’s suddenly become neck muscles, and the hair is wonderful.
