When it’s time to blog something you need to crank up the creative juices, you know? It’s not enough to put a pretty picture up, you have to have some at least marginally interesting words to go with it. Occasionally they come easy, sometimes they don’t. And sometimes they seem so diametrically opposed to the true creative energy that went not only into the build that’s featured, but the description and back story of that build. One of my favorite places in the Wizarding World, and a place I would genuinely like to visit, is the homestead of the Weasley family, the humble but wonderfully whimsical Burrow. While the books did a pretty good job of painting the picture of what this place looked like, the movies really completed it and make it real. Here’s something very interesting that has surfaced recently regarding LEGO video games. If you remember from a few days ago, I reported that there’s a rumor of a LEGO The Legend of Zelda video game that was supposedly planned for a Nintendo Direct announcement. People have been saying that it could be a fake rumor and I’ll leave it at that. However yesterday, Yicai Global tweeted out some cryptic images of a brick-built yellow brick, a brick-built sword, and a knight minifigure and the tweet says Tencent and LEGO are teaming up to launch a game on September 19. With the help of my mom, the translations for the images are as follows. The yellow brick one says something to “You’ve gone through many maps. You haven’t went into this gaming world.” The image with the sword says, “You’ve had a lot of equipment. You have never used this LEGO one....

With just a handful of parts builder Everblack not only built an instantly recognizable scene, he transported me to any given Saturday morning of my childhood. Yes the Flintstones was originally created as a primetime show, with a decidedly adult audience in mind (it’s modeled after the Honeymooners after all) but when it’s good storytelling done with tongue firmly inserted in cheek, kids will watch too. There’s a new Target exclusive LEGO set that has surfaced online called LEGO Bean There, Donut That (40358). It has 146 pieces and retails for $19.99. It’s a cute little set that features a small donut and coffee stand and includes five minifigures. The DPCI number for the set is 204-00-0606 but it is brand new so it might not show up yet on Brickseek near your location. Last night, I reported on some new Disguise LEGO costumes for adults which are now available at Target. These new costumes include the blue and yellow 2×4 brick ones but some where wondering where the red one was as it was missing from the site. For now, it looks like we can find it available over on Amazon. It is around the same price as Target but you’ll have to pay for shipping as it is from a third-party seller.
