Halloween is just around the corner…ok, not around the corner, but people tend to prepare with months now for events and holidays like this. So we thought why not start early too, with something Shelltember inspired! I was talking with Dave about what to build for Halloween and he suggested a spider. I had a recent Hornet from Hollow Knight I made for Shelltember on my desk, and the red shell looked somewhat like a spider’s body. And this is where the build started. Ah, and before you ask - this is a regular cute black spider, but he’s wearing a Spider-Man costume. The LEGO Star Wars UCS Death Star (75419) is by no means a cheap set but a user on Reddit has managed to get it for “free” using only Insiders points. Of course, if you’ve been buying LEGO throughout the years and hoarding all the points without using them, a big purchase like this is valid. It required the user to use 129,998 Insiders points to get the max discount of $999.99 but it was easy for them since they’ve already banked over 150k points. Each $1 you spend earns you 6.5 points so you had to have already spent $20,000 to get the points in the first place. LEGO has revealed a new set in the Wonders of the Natural World line with the Northern Lights Diorama (40785). The set has 332 pieces and it features a snowy scene in the Northern Hemisphere with the aurora borealis in the background. There’s no details yet on when the gift with purchase set will release and we can easily assume that it’ll require a $150 purchase like with the previous sets in the line.
