Previously, Simon Liu wrote a fantastic article about photography with tips and tricks on how to take better shots of your LEGO creations. As a non-professional photographer myself, I was intrigued to learn new ways of fine-tuning my photos, so I started to read and got to the first lesson – Know Your Camera. Here's the thing – I don't own a dedicated camera, because I never actually needed one. What I do have is my phone, which is a Samsung model from 2016 (if not 2015). The minifigure itself is more detailed with the Blacktron logo now printed on the torso and legs which is slightly different than the ones found in the LEGO Icons Blacktron Renegade (10355). Chugging along with our reviews of the LEGO Wicked sets, the next one we’ll be checking out is Emerald City & Kiamo Ko Castle (75689). The set has 860 pieces and retails for $89.99. Minidolls There are only two minidolls in the set which are Glinda and Elphaba. Glinda is technically a unique minidoll although the torso is the same one as in the Munchkinland set but she has the thinner dress piece instead of the larger one. Her accessory is a book of Oz that is filled with tables of spells. Elphaba also looks the same as from the Munchkinland set except that the torso uses metallic silver and gold. She still has the shoulderpad piece like before. Her accessories include her broom and the Grimmerie. The LEGO Icons Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Ship (10365) was just released yesterday and to go along with it, you could’ve gotten the Captain Jack Sparrow’s Compass (5009609) GWP. Unfortunately it looks like the gift with purchase set is now sold out online but LEGO Brand Stores may still have them. It was supposed to last until September 18 but the GWP is the yellow box packaging which is usually the more limited ones compared to the regular boxed GWPs. If you’re still want to see if stores still have the Black Pearl, I would highly suggest calling them first before heading out there as it is also on backorder status. Even though the ship is on the more expensive side, it seems that it is still popular among fans.
